The new BMW design language uses crisp lines and strikingly contoured surfaces to provide a clear and authentic showcase for the car’s sporting character. The new BMW 3 Series Touring matches the nose of the new BMW 3 Series Sedan, and is headlined by a large BMW kidney grille.

The instrument panel has a modern, light look, and its horizontal lines, discreet electroplated trim strips and contours extending into the doors lend it a feeling of width and elegance.

The newly designed seats for the driver and front passenger offers a greater long-distance comfort, while the optional sports seats provide particularly good lateral support and have an even greater range of adjustment.

Cutting-edge drive system technology increases output, pulling power and efficiency. Three petrol and three diesel engines will be available at launch from November 2019. A particularly efficient plug-in hybrid drive system will debut in summer 2020.

An extensively expanded range of driver assistance systems will pave the way for automated driving: Front collision warning with brake intervention and Lane Departure Warning is now standard.

In this video BMW How-To explains the different driving modes of your BMW Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle.
The Driving Experience Control switch now has SPORT, HYBRID, ELECTRIC and ADAPTIVE. Under HYBRID you can choose between STANDARD, COMFORT and ECO PRO. ELECTRIC has two modes: STANDARD or INDIVIDUAL.
Please note that BATTERY CONTROL is now a separate button.
The driving mode HYBRID is divided in three different variants. By pressing the HYBRID button multiple times you can select the different hybrid modes STANDARD, ECO PRO and COMFORT.
HYBRID STANDARD is activated whenever the vehicle is started via the Start/Stop button.
The driving mode ELECTRIC is divided in two variants. By pressing the ELECTRIC button multiple times you can select the different ELECTRIC modes Standard or Individual. ELECTRIC Individual can be activated as the standard driving mode. By pressing BATTERY CONTROL a certain state of charge of the high-voltage battery can be maintained. Press "Set target value" and select the desired percentage. This way you can conserve the electric range for a later point of your journey.
The symbols for the different HYBRID, ELECTRIC and BATTERY CONTROL modes are shown in the instrument cluster.

The worldwide market launch of the all-new BMW 8 Series Convertible will begin in March 2019.

In this video, BMW explains how to aerate and refuel your Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle.
BMW Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles are equipped with a special fuel tank, alternating combined driving with an internal combustion engine and electric motor. Therefore, the fuel tank needs to be aerated before refuelling.

Make sure to turn off the drive-ready state of your vehicle. Press the button in the driver's door area to start aerating. You can see the tank aeration status in the instrument cluster. When the tank aeration has finished, a message is displayed in the instrument cluster and the fuel filler flap is unlocked for opening.
If it is not possible to open the fuel filler flap, press the button in the driver's door area again.
